Dear Friend,
The Perks Of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky is a collection of diary entries from a freshman named Charlie who's constant struggle throughout the book is fighting off depression, finding out who he really is, and dealing with the people he loves.
The entries are dated from 1991 and going through the end of the next year. Even though you don't know where Charlie lives, or some of the people he talks about, you can't help but relate to some of the things he says.
This quirky, serious, depressing, and romantic book has made it's way to one of my favorites, and I haven't even finished.
Charlie, Sam, and Patrick's lives all through the perspective of Charlie, and his interpretations of events and life.
Be wary though, Charlie doesn't hold back when he says whats on his mind, so some of the things that are in the book are a little shocking, yet as you get to know Charlie, you find yourself loving his awkward personality.
Love Always,
Regan.
